PERU BIENAL

Las Peru Design Biennial 2021 was held as part of the celebrations marking the 200th anniversary of Peru’s independence (Bicentenario de la Independencia del Perú / the Bicentennial of the Independence of Peru).

The previous edition took place in 2018. The following edition, originally scheduled for 2020, was postponed by one year due to the pandemic and was held in a hybrid format.

Approximately 5% of the selected works, mainly winning projects, were planned to be exhibited in galleries and museums in Lima and other locations in Peru.

Competition Categories

The competition accepted works created during the previous three years in nine categories: Corporate Identity, Editorial Design,Poster Design, Packaging Design, Product Design, Digital Illustration, User Experience Design (UX), Typographic Design, Fashion Design

The competition was announced on March 31, 2021. Entries in each category were to be submitted online, together with a brief description of the work, by May 29, 2021.

Jurado Internacional

The works were to be evaluated online in July by an international jury, including:

• Ovidiu Hrin — Romania
• Elizabeth Resnick — United States
