According to Fidel Cárdenas, President of the Peru Design Biennial, the initiative seeks to promote the design industry and recognize creators whose work has achieved relevance internationally and across different fields.

He also emphasizes the Biennial’s role as a space for the convergence of cultures through art, contributing to the development of the creative economy. According to Cárdenas, countries should focus on developing policies that enable them to become destinations for creative and cultural industries.
