Synopsis
Beneath the Shadow of the Mountain by Yannis
Ritsos, staged for the third time worldwide, is a highly acclaimed
monudrama starring awarded director and actress Nana Papadaki,
with original music by composer Vassilis Tzavaras, based on the
mythical Helectra parting with the myth facing modern history and
human condition. The play has been presented for two years in
Greece and has traveled to Belgium as invited by Hellenic Circle of
Cultural Association in Brussels. It has been presented in close
and open spaces, like the Old Oil Mill in Elefsis at the Aisxylia
Festival and also as part of the Tribute to Yannis Ritsos for 110
years since his birth. After seven years since its presentation, it
opens a new range of performances around the world.
